Large rainbow cakes can be applied by both brush and sponge, however are more commonly applied with sponges in this size. 

Easily applied with a damp sponge by wiping back and forth across the rainbow to load the sponge and 'pounce' or 'pat' onto the skin to ensure an opaque application. 

• If you wipe over the skin, you may be wiping some of the face paint makeup off as you're applying and also leaving the majority of the face paint within the sponge and it may look thin and transparent. Using sponges in my store designed and manufactured for face and body painting, use a 1/2 round to pick up the whole rainbow for full base designs or contour to split the rainbow colours around your design base or utilise a shaped sponge like a petal sponge to pick up part of the rainbow for a full split base design. 

Activate your paint by adding a small amount of clean water to your brush or sponge and apply directly to skin. A little paint makeup goes a long way, so, only a little water is needed. With just a little practice you'll manage the consistancy well.  

• I always suggest NOT to spritz or spray your paints directly as not all water applied evaporates off the top of a face paint makeup cakes during the activation process nor is water always fully absorbed into your sponge as you're activating for use.  Even though paints do dry quickly on the skin this doesn't mean it does in your cake.  It seeps to the base and may aid in making your paints go gloopy over time if over watered and moreso if you live in a hot or humid environment.  While this doesn't mean your face paint makeup cake is wasted, it does become more difficult to use as you reach the base of your cake. 

Remove paint gently with soap and water. If you do have sensitive skin, using a make up remover and/or a moisturizer may assist with some pigmented colours.  Avoid using alcohol wipes and some baby wipes as some additives in them may set paints making them a little harder to remove.

Storage - Allow paint to dry thoroughly before covering to protect from dust and contaminants. Store in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated place.

Recommended use within 18 months from opening.
